Privacy Policy

1. Overview and Scope

  • This Privacy Policy explains how ViewDoo processes personal information in compliance with the EU/UK GDPR and California CCPA/CPRA.
  • We minimize personal data collection. Payments are handled by Stripe; we do not store full payment card details.

2. Data Controller

The data controller is ViewDoo, contact@viewdoo.app. If applicable, we may appoint an EU/UK representative which will be listed here when available.

3. What We Collect

  • Account Data: Email address, account ID, authentication data, subscription status.
  • Service Data: Prompts, reference inputs, and generation metadata (e.g., output parameters, timestamps, quality metrics). We store prompts and generation data to improve our models and the Service.
  • Usage/Technical Data: IP address, device/browser information, logs, and cookie-related data.
  • Payment Data: Processed by Stripe. We receive limited data (e.g., last 4 digits, payment status, billing email) but do not store full card numbers.
  • We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information.

4. Purposes and Legal Bases (GDPR)

  • Provide and operate the Service (contract).
  • Improve and develop features, model quality, safety, and user experience, including analyzing prompts and generation data (legitimate interests).
  • Prevent abuse, fraud, and maintain security (legitimate interests).
  • Communicate service notices and account-related messages (contract/legitimate interests).
  • Marketing with consent where required (consent).
  • Cookie usage for analytics/performance (consent where required).

5. CCPA/CPRA Disclosures

  • Categories collected: identifiers (email, IP), internet activity (usage logs), inferences for service improvement (non-sensitive), and limited transactional info via Stripe.
  • We do not "sell" personal information and do not "share" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as defined by CPRA. If this changes, we will provide a "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" mechanism.
  • No financial incentives related to personal information.

6. Training and Improvement Uses

We store prompts and generation data to improve the Service and model performance (e.g., quality, safety, relevance). Where required, we will seek consent. You may opt out of training use for your data by emailing contact@viewdoo.app (note: some data may be retained for security/abuse prevention and to provide the Service).

7. Retention

We retain personal data only as long as needed for the purposes stated, to comply with legal obligations, enforce agreements, and resolve disputes. Retention periods vary by category.

8. Disclosures to Processors and Third Parties

  • Processors (service providers) that help operate the Service: hosting, analytics, logging, email, support tools, and Stripe for payments. They are bound by data protection agreements.
  • Legal and Compliance: We may disclose data if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
  • Business Transfers: In a merger/acquisition, data may transfer subject to this Policy.

9. International Transfers

Where data is transferred outside your jurisdiction, we use appropriate safeguards (e.g., EU Standard Contractual Clauses) as required by law.

10. Your Rights

  • GDPR: Right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and to object; right to withdraw consent at any time (does not affect prior processing).
  • CCPA/CPRA: Right to know, delete, correct, and non-discrimination. We do not sell/share personal information.
  • To exercise rights, contact contact@viewdoo.app. We may verify your request and respond within the statutory timelines.

11. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child provided data, contact us to delete it.

12. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal information. No method is 100% secure.
